Ferris Bueller Sequel Super Bowl Trailer?

Ferris Bueller Sequel Super Bowl Trailer?

Um…wow. I just gotta say that come Super Bowl Sunday either I’m going to be extremely happy or extremely disappointed. If this is anything but a Ferris Bueller sequel I can safely say I will shed a tear and then pour out a little bit of my Jack Daniels on the floor in honor of John Hughes.

I suspect a sneaky ad campaign of some kind here.  I mean, seeing the Griswold’s back for a Vacation reunion was fun but just not the real thing.

Now some people think that the Ferris Bueller world might be a bit too complex to make a sequel.   But I think they can do it despite the fact that Ferris is now like 60 years old and has gray hair.  We’ll know soon enough as the reality will be revealed on Super Bowl Sunday (that’s Feb. 5, non-football fans!).

Check out the quick teaser below which is tabbed as a Super Bowl ad. For what, we don’t know. Maybe the Chicago Board of Tourism or Abe Froman finally opened up that chain of restaurants.  The more I think about it the more I think I’m going to be disappointed.

If this is an ad for a hotel chain I’m going to riot.

Rematch! Super Bowl XLVI [INFOGRAPHIC]

Super Bowl XLVI is destined to be an epic game as the rematch of the New England Patriots and New York Giants already has fans excited. Now we’re big fans of the Super Bowl Commercials but even we have to admit we might be watching the game more than the ads this year.

Here’s an infographic that breaks down all the Super Bowl stats you need to know for the big day including the amount of beer and nachos consumed during the game.  Did you know that 325+ million gallons of beer will be consumed on Super Bowl Sunday? Crazy and I thought we drank too much.

Super Mario Battlefield 3

battlefield 3
Running into people on the gaming community can be a mixed bag.  When you’re dealing with some more of the mainstream games like Call of Duty you end up meeting some cool peeps but you’ll have to tread through a lot of morons cussing and acting like spoiled babies.  Just part of the deal.

That’s why I kinda gravitate toward the Battlefield series. That and the fact that Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 sucks balls.  Talk about your most expensive expansion pack ever. I don’t think they’re even trying to add anything new  to that series now. It’s an exact copy of MW2.

On Battlefield 3 you still get the macho douchebags and stupid kids but overall the team play style of the game makes for a better crowd once you weed out the COD turds.

For instance this week I ran into a real work of art.  He was mad because I blew up his tank with a rocket launcher.  That’s it. Nothing much. Wasn’t bouncing around with a shotgun or spam people with mortars or anything lame like that. Just playing conquest and shooting a tank. Turns out it’s  just enough to turn this guy red in the face and create these sweet exchanges.

Seeing he was a not too bright douchebag, I enjoyed trolling him a bit.  It always amazes me how ignorant and entitled people are sometimes.  I mean, I know there are jerks out there but imagine your kid getting these types of curse-laden messages sent over.

HIM: F$$k U HACKER

Me: am just how am I hacking, genius? Because I killed you? Are you really that stupid?

By this time he rage quits the game because he died.  About 5 minutes later he responds.

HIM: 1 shot my tank C##T your reported

Me: report away genius. i’m not a hacker.  you’re just a complete baby. call the wambulance while you’re at it.

About 5 minutes later he thinks of a solid comeback. Jerk store has already been used so he comes up with this.

HIM: UR S**T NOOB

Me: no, i’m not. you’re just a huge baby. go back to call of duty if you are going to cry every time someone shoots you.  and, just a tip for future life, stop being such a baby. it makes you sound like you’re 13 years old.

About 10 minutes later he chimes back in. At this time it’s just getting annoying but still funny in a sad way.

HIM: srry didnt read ur f*g life story so STFU plz!!! or us a** is block

Me: good lord, are you still crying? feel free to stop crying at any moment.

At this point he’s been gone for well over 15 minutes and I’ve moved on and playing news games. Getting random messages from him was a bit humorous, mostly because I felt he just couldn’t come up with a response that wasn’t a cliche.

I’m not sure what ‘a** is block’ means.  Guess he means he’ll block me so we can’t have these great philosophical moments together. Now how am I going to invite him to my birthday party?

So I took the time to report him on Battlelog, the Battlefield 3 service run by EA and noticed this dude has played 416 hours of this game so far!  The game has only been out since November and he created his account November 30th and has already devoted over 17 solid days to playing the game out of a possible 52.

Wow!  Talk about needing to get a life.  I guess if this dude is so easily set off by little things it’s better he’s on the PS3 playing video games instead of driving a car.  But 17 days!  Seriously!  He’s averaging around 8 hours of gameplay a day! Whaaaa…..!

That’s just sad.

But the good news is that not everyone is a complete idiot.  There are some great peeps out there playing the game and one of them who posts YouTubes by the handle birgirpall created an epic and awesome Battlefield 3 Super Mario-themed video.

Awesome, just awesome.

Stop SOPA Censorship

0

sopa censorHey guys and gals. So what’s all this SOPA stuff everyone is talking about? Why are so many sites taking a stand on January 18th in regards to SOPA?

In a nutshell, it’s pure Government censorship?

Remember when we used to joke at China censoring the web? Well, this is worse.

SOPA is technical stuff you might not think matters to you. But if you use the Internet in any fashion, whether to get news or buy merchandise or just look at pictures or just use Facebook, the way you will do this will be changed forever.

The Government wants to pass new laws to protect online piracy. Unfortunate, the people writing this bill (your politicians) have no idea how the Internet works. It’s like asking your grandad to set up a router and modem for you when you know they barely know how to turn on a computer.

The bill is backed by big money with such Hollywood giants as the movie studio who are wanting to extradite, punish and shut down any site they see is a threat. And the vague law will allow them to do so with little or no proof.

The fate of the world of the Internet shouldn’t rest in the hands of people blindly taking money from big money in Hollywood and the media who are out to create a world of censorship.

This bill, The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), also known as House Bill 3261 or H.R. 3261, is extremely dangerous to our future. It is flat-out the most Orwellian act of politics to surface in our generation and is so evil it makes me cringe that the bill has even gotten this far.

The bill will indirectly shut down sites like Google and Facebook and Tumblr and Twitter. It will force an unjustified responsibility on people who make up your daily blogs and sites. People will begin to serve jail time and be Federally prosecuted for acts of opinion and free speech.

We’re not talking about piracy anymore. We’re talking about the fact that I could face criminal charges for someone’s YouTube video I link to. Think about that. Something I link to. Not even embed or load myself. I could serve jail time and have a criminal record for tossing a link to a funny video of a cat dancing and Universal music claims copywrite for a poster in the background of the video and 3 dozen people face criminal charges.

To put it another way, imagine you are riding in a car with a friend driving and get pulled over for speeding 3 miles over the limit. Now imagine you all get fined and go to jail because it is your responsibility, whether you knew or not, that your friend was speeding. Just because you were in the car, maybe in the backsleep taking a nap, you could be a criminal.

Doesn’t sound right, does it?

SOPA isn’t just about censorship. It’s about the destruction of technological jobs and free speech. But sadly, these will not die with the passage of SOPA. They will just leave the U.S.

I find it sad and disturbing to think that technology and Internet sites will possibly be so scared of doing business in my country that they will move elsewhere. Imagine Facebook and Google being in Canada or Europe. Image our future being stifled so bad that companies like Apple and Microsoft are so burdened with lawsuits and frivolous lawsuits that they can not longer afford to stay in our country.

Several major webites are blacking out their sites in protest of SOPA. I have personally written my Senator in regards to the issue. I hope you will consider similar actions. We are just a small site. We enjoy posting videos and writing goofy opinions and putting up pics with captions but it will be a sad day if for all of us if SOPA passes.

Please, learn more about the bill and be sure talk to your Senator about the situation.

Here is a list of sites that support SOPA.

And here is a list of sites and companies opposed to SOPA.
